The Luton Town Hockey Club juniors were playing today in the Leighton Buzzard tournament. The morning started with the under 8s, LTHC had 2 teams playing, but unfortunately both had to play with a player short!! This did not deter the youngsters by any means and their efforts and determination got both teams through to the semi-finals. Plenty of goals scored in the first round with exceptional team work by them all, unfortunately they both lost their semi-final games but to good stronger teams they still didn’t give up and fought hard to the end with plenty of shots on goal but just not going in!!

The afternoon saw the Under 12s play in all sorts of weather…Sun, wind, rain and a hail storm!!
Luton Town U12 came 2nd after qualifying for the final by drawing 2 games and winning 1 game 2-0, with a nicely work team goal calmly finished by Zack Grinsted and a good worked short corner from Jack Ryan. The final they lost 2-0. Leighton Buzzard started brightly and scored an early goal. Luton got back into the final and had a few chances to equalize, by some outstanding team play. Leighton Buzzard made it 2 in the dying few seconds of the game.

All of Luton's team really played well and can be very proud of themselves.
